JOIN THE LAUNCH TEAM

I’m so excited that you are interested in joining the launch team. This is a unique opportunity for you to be a part of a church plant from the ground up. Along the way, you will build some great new friendships and see your relationship with Jesus flourish like never before. We are going to have a lot of fun together!

The goal of this team is to launch a new church of 500+ people in San Diego by September 17, 2017 – and you can play an important role in reaching that goal. There are lots of ways to participate that will fit who you are and where you are in life.

You don’t even have to live in San Diego or commit to going to the church to be a part of this team. It is an opportunity for everyone who wants to be a part of birthing something new and fresh in San Diego and is willing to be a part of the process through September 2017. If that is you, then click the button below to join the team and I’ll send you a follow-up email that will give you all the information you need to become an effective member of the launch team.

Blessings,

George Clerie

Common Questions:

What is the commitment?

My commitment to you as we launch this new church is to help you have an amazing experience with God that will draw you closer to Him.

There is no minimum requirement from you. Whether your part involves one prayer, one dollar, or one day – every contribution counts. The most important thing is that it flows out your relationship with God. Of course I’d love it if you were inspired to be with us through the launch in September, but I recognize that that doesn’t make sense for everyone. My prayer is that even just considering to be a part of the launch team would spark a fresh closeness with Jesus

What team is right for me?

There are three basic teams within the launch team: The prayer team, the funding team and the gathering team.

The prayer team is for those who want engage God in prayer and saturate every aspect of the launch in prayer. People on this team will receive weekly prayer updates and invitations to optional prayer gatherings that they can attend.

The funding team is for those who want to engage God in faith through their giving. There are a lot of start up costs associated with launching a new church and this team will help lay the foundation for hundreds of people experiencing Jesus in a profound way.

The gathering team is for those who want to engage God by inviting others to come and be a part of this new community. The gathering team is also for those that enjoy rolling up their sleeves and want to help do the work of putting on the actual gatherings.

Where is the church going to be located?

We are currently looking for a location somewhere off of the 15 freeway north of Scripps Ranch and South of Rancho Bernardo.

What will the church be called?

The church will be called “The Gathering.” It is based on the Greek word for church “ekklesia” which literally means “a called out gathering.” Interestingly, the English word “church" comes from the German word “kirche” (church building) and is more of a substitution than a translation. So we wanted a name that conveyed the idea of a group you belonged to rather than a place you attended.
